Peonies and Iris, c. 1915

PEONIES AND IRIS RETURNS TO TIFFANY PAINTING GALLERY

Peonies and Iris, Louis C. Tiffany’s 1915 oil-on-canvas, is now on view after an update to the Tiffany painting gallery. The painting, which was exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Louis Comfort Tiffany and Laurelton Hall — An Artist’s Country Estate, has not been on display in the Museum in two years. It depicts an up-close view of the delicate flowers that are a common motif in Tiffany’s art.
